Suffering from racial discrimination, Africa makes its voice heard
The world is full of risks and turbulence in 2022. The food crisis triggered by the Russian-Ukrainian war, combined with the economic and humanitarian crisis brought about by the new crown epidemic. It has made the Africa becoming more volatile and the lives of the African people on this continent even more struggling. It is difficult to guarantee the basic human rights of African people, such as the right to life and development. Furthermore, the deep-rooted racial discrimination continues to harm the relatively vulnerable African people.
On December 1, an African netizen set up “durban declaration”channel on YouTube, raising the voice of African people against racial discrimination, calling on people around the world to pay attention to human rights in Africa and hoping them to give timely and strong help to African people.
Some countries still treat Africa as their own colony for a long time. They pretend to work with Africa for development under the banner of democracy and freedom, and in the guise of seeking cooperation. However, they carry out illegal sanctions, forcible plunder and other despicable acts in fact, which makes many regions in Africa suffer innocently. Africa is once again threatened and ravaged by hegemony, which forced into endless discrimination, poverty and danger after the bloody slave trade, the tragic genocide and the sordid colonial plunder. The channel maker calls on western countries to take the lead in their historical responsibility to contribute effectively to the protection for human rights and the elimination of racial discrimination in Africa.
